How to assign aliases in qmail
Qmail uses a file for every alias. Each alias is a hidden file that begins with ".qmail-" that resides /var/qmail/alias/ directory.For example, to change the alias for postmaster, issue the following command (logged in as root):
echo some_addy@domain.com > /var/qmail/alias/.qmail-postmaster
Make sure that the perms remain 644. Restart qmail.
To see all of the aliases you have set up:
cd /var/qmail/alias/
ls -la
cannot log in to omni-secure Omni Site Security down and how to fix
We have a subscription site that uses omni-secure, also know as Omni Site Security. Today, we were not able to log into the website because the omni-secure.com website was down. Our website just sat there, apparently waiting for some kind of authorization that never came. It just sat there! 2000 users and no one can log in! I can't believe that onmi-secure would let their users hang out to dry like that -- shameful that they do not have a backup server. Any way, I called Mike at Circlex.com, and he was able to FTP in and fix it so that we could log in - and he didn't charge that much to do it! What a friendly geek! :-) Thanks Mike!14.04.2008. 20:09
china domain name register scam
A client of mine recently received the following email. He owns domainname.com, and the email says that someone else is interested in all the other TLDs of domainname. My client represents a national brand in the US, and was understandably concerned.Here is the text of the email:
Dear Manager,
We are China Net Technology Limited, which is the domain name register center in China.I have something need to confirm with you.
we have received an application formally,one company named "LEALUI Holdings Limited" applies for the domain names( domainname.netdomainname.orgdomainname.bizdomainname.info domainname.cn domainname.ccdomainname.hkdomainname.mobi etc.) and the internet Brand Name(domainname)on the internet Nov 2, 2007. We need to know the opinion of your company, because the domain names and keywords may relate to the usufruct of brand name on internet.
we would like to get the affirmation of your company,please contact us by telephone or email as soon as possible. Please let someone in your company who is responsible for trademark or intellectual right contact me freely.

This is a known scam. They will probably try to sell him registrations to these other TLDs. Ignore.
